Thursday May 23rd – Sunday May 26th, 2019

Wanda and Ben invited us back for the 2nd Annual Bass Weekend. The weather just refused to cooperate but everyone carried on and made due under canopies or in one trailer or another until there were breaks in the weather. The kids swam and kayaked and didn’t pay much attention to the rain. We had lots of good food, long happy hours and time around the campfire.

Ben brought the BIG GRILL and made a huge batch of fried rice. It was awesome and YES we finished it off! 

Ben took Wanda and me out and I got a bass of my own.

Sunday was the Annual Bass Tournament. The guys were up and at ’em early and had a great time!

Corey and Gabe were the winners and not only got bragging rights but a new rod, cash and the winners trophy.

Sunday PM some of us headed to the Mill Casino and yep, we had some winners! It was a great weekend, friends, family, kids, good food, laughter and of course . . . BASS! We made our reservations for the same time next year for the 3rd Annual Jones and Family Tournament!

Wednesday May 8th- Wednesday May 22nd, 2019

We stayed at our friend’s house in Bandon for 2 busy weeks! JP got his fishin’ in and caught a nice 40# halibut, some bottom fish and shad, Even though there were some really windy, stormy days he was happy to be able to work around it to fish.

I had time to catch up with friends and had fun accumulating a few extra pounds! In the time we were in Bandon, I had dates for sushi at Tokyo Bistro, pizza at Bandon Brewery, coffee and bagels at Bandon Coffee (3X) lunch with a killer view at Redfish, cocktails at the Wheelhouse, Pizza and cocktails at Front Street Provisioners, and an overnight stay at the Mill with dinner at Timbers and breakfast at the Plank house. My jeans were a little tighter at the end of our visit but I was a happy camper. It was so good spending time with friends!

Side Note: If you wondered why we have been absent from our blog for so long its because we had a major computer outage and didn’t have enough coverage to download or enough time in one place to get ‘er done! So I’ve got some catching up to do and I’m on it!
