And so it goes . . .

We are settled in here in Oregon for the next 10 weeks so  I’ll  break from my blog posts and start up again in mid July when we head toward Montana. I’ll keep my Itinerary page up though so you’ll know where to find us. If you follow my blog it will let you know when I’m posting again.

luckyontheloose.blog has been our travel journal and if you’ve followed us – we were glad to have you along.

We are still having fun fitting life into our 21 foot trailer. We are still finding ways to make life simpler. I’m not sure how long our adventure will be but I do know this was the right time in our life for us to have it.

I love words and all kinds of quotes and sayings . My favorite one for this chapter is from a sign I saw in an old aquaintance’s summer home in Surprise AZ.

It read: “We wish you enough . . .”    Perfect!

Rollin’ North

IMG_3070

We were up early again today to get on the road. A perfect day for the second part of our trip back to Oregon. We’ve been away 3 months but it really doesn’t feel that way at all! We loved the sunny weather but it is nice to see the lush green of Oregon and hear the sound of the oceanat night. The longest we have been in a destination this leg of our trip was 2 weeks and that was only at one stop. The rest of our trip was in one week stays. It will be a new adventure to be in Oregon in Lucky for extended lengths of time in Lebanon and Bandon. We’re really looking forward to seeing out friends and JP is anxious to get fishing!

Well That Was Fun!

inn-at-rolling-hills[1]

We left early to miss some of the LA traffic. We picked up Lucky in Lancaster and headed up I5 to Corning CA. We stayed at Rolling Hills RV Park. It was conveniently located across from Rolling Hills Casino. Good food and lots of slots we’d never seen before. We had a nice dinner, used our free play and came away with $ in our pockets! One more day on the road and we’re back home.

Happy Birthday to Us!

We relaxed at home today and got organized for tomorrow’s road trip. We watched some TV (we haven’t had that on the road) and a heavy weight title fight between Anthony Joshua (retained his title) and Vladimir Klitschko (who came pretty close to winning).

The kids took  us out for a Cena de Cumpleanos at El Chollo. It was a late BD celebration for me and an early one for JP. Great food and a perfect way to end the week in LA with the kids. Only 4 months until our family Las Vegas Trip. I can’t wait!

LA Brewery Artwalk

We braved the heat and went to the LA Brewery Artwalk.  It was an industrial area that’s been converted to artists studios/lofts. There are gardens covering the outsides of most of the lofts and the studios are generally downstairs and living quarters upstairs.

I thought it was all pretty cool but it was hot- hot -hot so it we called it a wrap early.

Way Too Cool, Fun and Funny!

Amanda got wind of a great fund raiser at the Comedy Store on Sunset! What a great line up! Joe Rogan, Kevin Nealon, Dane Cook and more!
